Different Types of Computer Drives


What is Drive?
capable of storing and reading information that is not easily   removed like a disk.


Examples:
Hard disk drive
Recovery drive
Portable drive




Hard Disk Drive (Drive C)
  ― Holds all of the information available on your computer.
  ― Primary hard disk in a computer.




Recovery (Drive D)
  ― Used to restore the system in the event of problem.
  ― Can be seen in Windows Explorer as a usable drive.
  ― Do not attempt to store files in it. Why? Storing files on   the drive can cause the system recovery process to fail.




Portable Drive (usually F: or G:)
  ― Can be transported between computers.
  ― Examples: card readers and external hard disk drives.
