DESKTOP
•Allows interaction between the user and
the operating system.
HOW TO NAVIGATE THE DESKTOP?
- We use the mouse to navigate the desktop.
- Hold the mouse gently with your index finger resting on the left button and your thumb resting on the side.
- Move the mouse by sliding it slowly in any direction. Notice that as you move the mouse, the pointer on your screen moves in the same direction.
- CLICK means to point an item on the screen, then pressing the primary button (left) of the mouse once and quickly letting it go.
- RIGHT CLICK means to point an item on the screen, press the secondary button (right) and release it.
- DOUBLE CLICK means to point to an item on the screen and press the primary button (left) twice very quickly.
- Note that if the two clicks are spaced too far apart, they might be considered as two individual clicks rather than as double-click.
- DRAG means to point an item on the screen, press the primary button (left) and move the item to a new location and release the button.
- You can drag the mouse towards left, right, up or down or any other direction.
